Toastie was rescued after being abandoned in a garden in Portugal as a puppy and also lives with our Director Cathy Sousa. Serrano adopted Toastie as his puppy when he was a year old and Toastie only a few weeks. Toastie still sleeps in Serrano’s tail to keep warm and the two dogs have a very strong bond and hate to be apart. Toastie is not such a fan of the cold weather in England but snuggles into Serrano to keep warm and loves to bury herself under her blanket. Although she is the smallest of the ‘little and large’ combo she likes to think she is in charge and is definitely the troublemaker – perhaps because she permanently lives in Serrano’s shadow?! Toastie will do anything for a treat and has excellent acrobatic skills.
